The 7600 is designed for the high payload and high accuracy. Typically used for handling large loads the 7600 is also often used for high tolerance milling as the strength and stiffness of the arm is exceptional.

Characteristics such as high available torque and inertia capability, rigid design and powerful acceleration have earned this market leader its “Power Robot” title. A major concern with robots handling payloads of up to 630 kg will be to safeguard your personnel in the unlikely event of an accident, as well as to protect both the robot itself and your investment. ABB have therefore added a range of measures falling under the umbrella designator of Active Safety – and Passive Safety – system. The robot optimizes the acceleration and retardation, which results in shortest cycle time possible. Payload comes in several versions between 150 – 500 kg (up to 630 kg with “wrist down”). Max reach between 2.55 – 3.5 mm.

The 7600 is quite rare on the used market, as not too many have been made and those are still mostly in their first application. For a high payload robot they are possibly the best, very quick and strong but based on standardised ABB modular design. Many high payload machines we see are virtually one offs whereas there are hundreds of IRB 7600 (but not the thousands like IRB6600’s) this means that the IRB7600 is reliable and dependable.
