Description
A new generation robot with many improvements on the IRB 6600. It is stronger and handles large work pieces,has a strong wrist, rigid design and is collision resistance. Typical application areas include material handling, machine tending or spot welding applications.
The 6640 has the ability to bend fully backwards making it a perfect fit for those dense production lines. Several new features including simplified fork lift pockets, additional space in the robot foot area, and reduced weight have also been added for ease in installation and maintenance.
It is floor mounted with the ability to bend behind itself for extra accessibility. The ABB 6640 can use the IRC5 or S4C controller.
